Missing IdentityYou have no memory. No name. Nothing.
First thing to do is find shelter, food, and water. Sit down. Build a fire and pull up a rock. You'll be staying awhile. You have no idea what's going on. What do you do? Try and figure out what you do know. Let's see: in the water's reflection, you can pretty much figure out what you look like. You're wearing clothes. Some might seem odd to you, like that top hat, that gas mask, or those strange orange goggles. You have a backpack with you. Ooo! What's inside? (see Inventory Necessities below) You hear sounds. There's wild animals out there, most definitely, so you had better arm yourself. You can talk. You know what the language is called. Do you speak English? Armenian? Swahili? Any accents? How many languages can you speak? You seem thin. Or maybe you're on the chubby side. Perhaps you got some good arm muscle and a couple scars. You know the basic things about yourself. Few and random as they are. But you don't have much time to sit like the Thinker and ponder the mysteries of your lost memories. Cause that sound is back, and it sounds bad. Let the game of survival begin. |

Inventory Necessities
Everyone has a backpack.
Inside are the following items:
Passport with your picture. No other information inside, just empty blanks. The word 'passport' and the words inside are in English.
Several pencils, pencil sharpener, and an eraser.
A journal. Empty.
A pocket knife, length of twine, bobby pins, and duct tape.
Around the island, random items are found. You can keep them or not. Up to you.
It is suggested you pick up whatever weapon you find that suits you best. There aren't any guns.
If you come across food, pick it up! Hunting, fishing, and foraging are necessary, but on the rarest occasion, food is found.
Other random items are found around the island, to name a few: fishing line, flashlight, batteries, water canteen, even a camera. Most items are small enough to carry. The biggest item ever found was a pair of helicopter blades which were reforged as weapons, but big items like that are rare.
Passports should be filled out so that you can keep information on yourself. Passports are then collected from dead bodies as trophies.
Journals are usually used to record events, draw maps, and take notes on people, foraging, hunting and fighting techniques, and other things.

Your Job
Your job is to survive.
Your job is more complicated than it sounds.
Everyone on the island seems to have been altered mentally. They all have increased violent sides and, surprisingly, an increased memory.
The increased violence and instincts make them fierce, viscous, and they will kill anyone they meet.
Rarely do people actually talk to one another. Even rarer will they form a team. (see Allied Rivals below)
Kill or be killed. The basic instinct of survival. Next to killing, other jobs are needed to be performed.
Hunting and Fishing
Hunting and fishing are great ways to get a good meal. However, it can be more difficult than it seems. Since there are no guns, people must rely on bows, makeshift poles, traps, and handmade nets to catch their prey.
Building
Shelters, traps, even tree houses, building is necessary to keep out predators and the elements of nature or to get food.
Foraging
Foraging for berries, leaves, fruit, roots; there are hundreds and thousands of plants, trees, and funguses on the island. Be careful. Some are poisonous.
Healing
You have to stay alive. Bug/snake/animal bites, sicknesses, stings, cuts, breaks, and the occasional arrow or knife wound can be fatal. Be sure to figure out which plants are helpful and which aren't and how to properly clean and dress your wounds.

Allied Rivals
Allies
Allies are few and far between. Allies work together as partners to keep each other alive. If more than four allies form a group, they call themselves a Pack. They usually give themselves a name, appoint a leader, and sometimes even establish themselves a territory if they are large enough.
Rivals
Everyone on the island is your enemy. Rivals are the people you specifically want to kill. Either for revenge or simply because you have a bone to pick with them. Their bone really. And it's not so much pick at as it is rip it out of their ribcage.

Not Alone
You are not alone.
That much is clear.
But besides the ordinary, the extraordinary appear.
The people of Roanoke call them monsters.
They lurk in the dark. The creep in the shadows. They watch from the undergrowth and creep up behind you.
They attack. They bite. They kill. They vanish.
They seldom ever die.
They were once human. At least, they look like they were once human.
They are horrible, grotesque things.
Cannibals. Sociopaths.
People who were sewn together from various body parts. Hunchbacks. They filed their teeth to crooked fangs. They grow their fingernails long and hard like claws.
And they aren't the worst of it.
Some of the crazy people are actually quite smart. They trap you, drag you away, and do awful things to you.
No one can stop them. No one can save you.
So beware. Be afraid. Be very, very afraid.
